Kitchen & dining

Open-plan kitchen flowing into the living area. Chef-prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinners around long communal tables.

Indoor pool

A room-temperature indoor pool for easy recovery swims and unwinding after a run — usable in any weather.

Living room

Cosy lounge with fireplace and reading nook. Where race briefings happen and evenings slow down.

Garden

A garden wraps the house on all sides — quiet corners for stretching, coffee and legs-up afternoons.

Ocean access

450 metres to the Atlantic and the famous Azenhas do Mar ocean pool — a short walk down through the village.

The way a marathon should feel.

Shared. Coached. Cooked.

The house runs on a rhythm. Morning runs. Long lunches. Evening mobility. The last few days taper into race mode. Then the start line.

Day by day

The rythm of race week.

Five days in Lisbon shaped around one goal. Every hour has a purpose — runs, meals, rest, and the start line.

  • You're over 26
  • You have the Lisbon Marathon on your calendar — or you're serious enough to book it
  • You want the days before the race to feel calm, not chaotic

This is not for you if…

  • You're a first-time runner
  • You just want a cheap flight and a hotel near the start line
  • You're looking for a party trip, not a performance week
  • You'd rather train and travel entirely on your own, no one around

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

You need to have the Lisbon Marathon on your calendar (or serious intent to book it) and be training consistently. You don't need to be an elite runner, but you do need a real goal — this isn't a trip for those who want to "try running".
A curated group of up to 10 people per house: ambitious professionals training seriously for their race, selected through an application (roughly 1 in 10 gets in).
We review applications in small batches and reply within 3–7 days. If selected, you get an offer with 5–7 days to send the deposit and lock your spot. If not selected this round, you go on the waitlist for the next one.
No. If you haven't already registered, you'll sign up for the race yourself once selected.
You don't need to be an elite athlete, but you do need to train seriously with a defined race goal — that's what we assess in the selection, not your absolute time.
You can apply together with someone — we ask about it directly in the application form.
Yes, flights are not included — we take care of everything else (villa, meals, coach, chef, local transfers).
Yes — just let us know once selected and the chef will adapt the menu accordingly.
You need your own personal travel insurance — it's a condition for joining.
If the injury happens within the cancellation window before departure, you can pass your spot to someone on the waitlist or request a credit for the next retreat.
You stay on the waitlist with priority access for the next available cycle or retreat.
